I recently submitted 600 cards for 20 and 15 certificates and the usual updates. I had never submitted for those awards, so some of my cards wee over 30 years old.
I sent NC1L an email first asking if I needed to list them, and he said it wasn't necessary, just sort them as required, so I sent them with no list. (I hadn't taken the time to reconcile DXbase with my historical master list in Excel.) Having said that, though, I'd suggest sending the list with the cards. I had some data entry errors, which isn't hard to understand given the 10 MHz versus 10M problem, changing prefixes over time, etc. Bill, NC1L, told me to add a Post-It note to those cards with multiband QSOs so they would know which bands to enter to save data entry charges. Bill corrected the data entry errors, and I even reported the one or two I received credit for in error. So sending the list is my recommendation. The DXCC page on the ARRL website has an updated (05/03--??) application form vs. the one in DXB2003 (4/01), and all they mention is to list the QSO's in order by band/mode. I guess it's all irrelevant after all. 73, George -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jack Sent: Friday, April 04, 2003 7:16 PM To: George Harlem, W1EBI; [email protected] Subject: Re: [DXBase] DXCC QSO Form George, At the time the format of this form was created, we reviewed it with the DXCC Desk at the ARRL. At that time, they did not care whether the QSOs started with 160, down or if they started with 10 and up. In fact, they pointed out that the form is rarely even required. (But maybe that has changed.) They simply wanted the bands sorted together and within each band wanted the modes sorted. This makes it a little easier for their typist to input them. The DXbase ARRL form has been used by a lot of folks without problem.
