Hi Folks, We wanted to take a moment to thank all those who took the time to stop by our booth and say hello. It's always nice to get the chance to meet our customers in person and this year we managed to see several hundred of you. We also wanted to thank those who took the time to speak with prospective new customers as they considered purchasing DXbase. I'm sure they were glad to hear what you had to say and we certainly appreciated your help as we tried to handle the "pileups" at the booth.
For those who didn't make it this year, you might be interested to know that attendance was generally down and fewer exhibitors, but it was still a good time. The ARRL announced their plan to implement the Logbook of the World in the next few months. If you don't know about this, you can learn about it from the ARRL. In short, it's a web based interface where you can upload your logs. Then, as folks submit for an award, the logs will already be on record and so cards won't have to be submitted. The initial implementation will simply use an ADIF export that is processed through a special program that the ARRL will provide that allows your ADIF file to be uploaded to the Logbook of the World database. Among the many new features in DXbase 2004, is the new support that has been built into DXbase 2004 so that you can keep track of your Logbook of the World QSOs that are confirmed. Tracking in DXbase 2004 is extensive for the Logbook of the World and will be a great help as the new system begins to be implemented. Thanks again, Jack
