Just wanted to post to everyone that I had no problems communicating with my 756 Pro II with 2003 version. I was reading back over the archives trying to hunt down any information that could help me out. I found in an April archive titled Radio Control that Greg Tomerlin solved someone else's problem by telling them to select the DTR and RTS be on. He had done that on his 746. I tried it with them both on and it now works.
In 2003 you can only select DTR to be on. I am assuming that 2003 always asserted RTS. Anyway the ICOM converter that I am using to go from the RS-232 to CI-V interface requires power from RTS. That is why it was not working. Hope this helps someone else. 73, Jason Amos KD4BJW
