ONLY Access97 though - not Access2000 ... or, you can use the "Access Maintainer Lite" program (that is meant for Access97 MDB files) and it will compact it automatically ... Yes- your MDB file will "grow" -- but you can routinely "compact" it and you will be very pleasantly surprised at how much space is taken up by "dead areas in your MDB file" ..
