Do you have a OS higher than 98?
I always to a RESTORE POINT prior to any changes.

If you do, I'd perform a restore point and then use the Control Panel Remove
feature to remove the mouse software.
Worth a try

If that is not successful and you decide to reinstall DXB.
you can not save your screen/style/etc settings normally.
But..if you installing exactly into the same directory as before you can try
making a copy of DXB2004.ini, all .mdb files, (both your log and the
ref.mdb) and your registration key.

many of the screen settings are stored in the registry so the reinstall will
change most back to the default.
