Yes, exactly the case here as well. I didn't know about the special events 'colander' (I guess that's the sieve that passes for my "wetware" memory, hi hi). Seriously, what I was aiming for was a way of having something popup once every 24 hours reminding me of any events I put in it (DX peditions ongoing from x to y date, etc). I would further add, the popup should occur only either when DXBase has been started or when the computer has been idle for more than a user-definable number of minutes. Essentially, I wouldn't want a popup happening if I'm in the middle of trying to enter text or run a report or have a pending log entry that I'm waiting to work, etc. The entry window should have fields for "Event text", "start date", an optional "end date" and "advance notice" (3B9C starts tomorrow)(XF4IF starts in 3 days). Now, if you *really* want to get wild...think of this...after you work what the log determines is an all-time new one, you get a reminder in 7 days that you haven't sent a card!! 73 de Peter (W2IRT) [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please visit http://www.nyctrackbook.com for details of my book Tracks of the NYC Subway
