Dear fellow users: I am now trying to set up the internal keyer on DXB2004. I am using the common COM port with the radio control. The keyer circuit is the same one I have used for years since the DOS version of DX Base. It also worked for me with DX Base for Windows' earlier version.
I have set up the Drivers with the DX Base Driver Setup program, though I did not do this on installation. In the User Options, I followed the directions for CW activating the internal keyer and setting the COM port. I know the program is keying the tranceiver (Kenwood TS850S) because when DTR high was selected in the Radio setup, the tranceiver was constantly keyed. I am also using a monaural plug to the CW input and the VOX is turned off. CW character and line out windows will not key the tranceiver. Does anyone have any advice for me?
