Hello All: I just upgraded one of the shack computers from a PII to a P4. = Originally, I was using a Rocketport ISA to Serial Port Adaptor on that = computer. However, the new Motherboard does not have any ISA Slots. So, = I will have to upgrade the Serial Port Adaptor to go along with the = "new" P4. I have another P4 in the Shack that I use a Byte Runner PCI to = Serial Port Adaptor with. It has worked very well for me.
As I was looking at ordering another PCI to Serial Port Adaptor to go = with the "new" P4, I saw that Byte Runner also has USB to Serial Port = Adaptors available. I was wondering if the USB to Serial Port Adaptor = might not be a better more updated way to go than with the PCI to Serial = Port Adaptor. Has anyone had any experience with USB to Serial Port = Adaptors? Has there been any compatibility issues between them and the = Ham Gear attached to them? Will they work with DXBase Software? Thanks for the information. --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html The reason this message is shown is because the post was in HTML or had an attachment.
