Hi Folks, It's with great pleasure that I can inform you that DXbase 2005 is now available for download. For a limited time, we have kept last year's pricing. We will also have DXbase 2005 available at the upcoming Dayton Hamvention.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our beta team. Thanks to them, we feel that once again we have a rock solid release. We would also like to express our thanks to Joe, WA6AXE, for doing most of the new reports... certainly saved us a lot of time and allowed us to focus on some of the other things that folks wanted in the release. We would like to thank Brendan, EI6IZ, and Ron, N5IN, for helping refine some of the entries in the radios.ini file. We've put a lot of interesting things in this release. I won't bother to mention all of them since the info is now published on our web site, but I wanted to mention the new digital tracking that is now used throughout the software. This lets you keep stats for digital separate from rtty. It also allows for submission for some of the new digital awards. We also have added another option for sending CW. Trying to use new hardware with old drivers is really difficult these days and unfortunately it's only going to get more and more difficult to try and make this work. So, we were happy to add support for the Winkey external CW board by K1EL. This board is very inexpensive, requires no external power, and sends perfect CW with no degradation from Windows CPU slicing. If you are a CW enthusiast, an external CW board is the only way to go. We've also provided a rock solid import process for bringing in your LoTW updates into DXbase. I believe our beta team liked this more than anything else. Thanks, Courtney
