I suggest Writelog. It's Windows and I think (please don't shoot me if wrong, but CT is DOS).
I use dual monitors. Run DXBase on one monitor (with rig control off) and Writelog on the main monitor. This way I can contest but if a Cluster spot alerts DXBase that a needed band/mode station is on, even if not on a contest band, I can qsy quickly, work them and log them, and resume my contesting. If your a contester/dxer, the combo of DXBase and Writelog will be tough to beat. Disclaimer: Not a big gun Contester or DXer, but I play one occasionally. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Chasey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 10, 2004 10:43 PM Subject: [Dxbase] Contest logging software I'm sorry this is a bit off topic, but it relates to DxBase, a little! :-) I've been chasing DX for years but I haven't done much contesting. I'd like to play a little more in some of the contests and I'm curious which contest oriented logging software the contesters on the list recommend. I'm aware of the "contest mode" of DxBase, but I'm looking for something that tracks your score for specific contests, watches multipliers, etc. It seems that WriteLog is the software of choice among the local guys, but others indicate that they prefer CT as well. It's important that whatever I get will easily import the logs back into DxBase as that will of course remain my primary logging software, award tracking software, etc, etc. Any recommendations? Thanks much! ...Dave -- N9FN [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase
