Emil, Well I would start by reading the help in DXBase. Look under Awards/DXCC. There are 4 sections to read. Then go to LoTW at the ARRL web site and at least read their getting started and Frequently Asked Questions.
When I did the LoTW application I checked my QSOs on the ARRL LoTW web site then went to Awards. They will list all the new band countries you have. I printed that page when I made my application. You can see if your log in DXBase agrees with the ARRL site with one of the reports. Go to Output/User Designed LoTW reports/lotw_qsl_alltimenewband.rtp. That report should agree with the ARRLs list. There is one bug in the report. If you have more then one conformation for a country on the same band and mode it will not show up. I had VP2E on 20 SSB in LoTW twice and it did not show up. A new version of the report has been done but I don't know when it will be available. Joe sent it to me directly. It may be part of the DXBase down load already. When I submitted my cards, I used the OUTPUT/AWARDS/DXCC and did my "cards only" first. The program will compute what cards are new. Make sure you check "Exclude Past Submissions". The program will ask you "Do you want to set the Award file in the QSO log to credited AND clear the select file for all QSOs used in this award form?". Answer this NO until you are sure you are going to submit your cards. If you make a mistake here and answer Yes, you will have to go to a backup copy of your log to recover. Print the QSO form and get your cards together. When you are sure you are going to submit the cards run this section again and answer yes to the question "Do you want to set the Award file in the QSO log to credited AND clear the select file for all QSOs used in this award form?". Print the cover sheet and the QSO form. The DXCC FLAG will be set for all of the entries. You don't have to do that manually. If the ARRL rejects one or more of your cards you will have to clear the DXCC Flag and clear the valid flags. This happened to me for the 7O1YGF. NOW you can run this section again for your new LoTW QSLs. Check "Both" for Cards and LoTW. Since you have done all your cards it will only show the new ones on LoTW. This should agree with the ARRLs list. When you answer yes to the question "Do you want to set the Award file .....?", The DXCC FLAG will be set for all of the entries.
