I'm trying to find a way to lock the screen layout in dxbase2004 after I rearrange the layout then exit the program it goes back to some default screen layout. Is there something I missed in the docs on how to do this? Any help on how to lock or change the default look is appreciated.

I was stumped by the same process so I wrote a spreadsheet for Microsoft Excel that will allow you to enter the data 6 to 8 times faster than just keying it into DXBase. Once you enter the first QSO, you just have to key in the following: down-arrow back-arrow TIME DATE then repeat. As long as the DATE, BAND or MODE doesn't change, that's all you have to enter. And, after you enter a couple of QSO's this way, you can shorten the entries to just: TIME CALL [Return] After you enter 100 QSO's you save them and then the program will allow you to export an ADIF file. Once you have that, you can then import that file into DXBase just fine. Or, you can upload the file directly to LoTW. The spreadsheet does many of the things that Gary and Dick mentioned and, I think, it is much faster than the WriteLog method. Here is a link to my web page which describes the program, shows a screen shot and has a link for downloading it: <http://www.w8tn.com/software.htm> Of course, it is FREEWARE - no charge for anything. But, if you use it, I would like to hear from you about how it worked for you. Thanks.
