Hi guys, I have both 2004 & 2005 installed and seeing as 2005 was working so well, I decided to uninstall 2004. During the uninstall, I was asked if I wanted to keep or delete a couple of dll files or similar, I selected KEEP and continued with the procedure. Big mistake, it broke 2005 :-(((
2005 would just load the splash screen then abort, fortunately I did a System Restore and all is now back the way it was. But how will I uninstall 2004? I suppose I could just delete the 2004 directory and edit the add/remove programs bit in the registry, and perhaps delete all the key that relate to 2004, but is there a better way? 73's de G4PZN (Barney) From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jun 19 13:17:34 2004 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (FireBrick) Date: Sat Jun 19 13:25:31 2004 Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase 2004 Uninstall Broken References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hmmmm, that shouldn't happen. I used the normal 'Remove Programs' from the control panel and it worked correctly. Although it asks if I want to remove the font Andale Mono which I respond a NO to as I use that font a lot. Sorry I can't answer with more help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Poulson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, June 19, 2004 11:37 AM Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase 2004 Uninstall Broken Hi guys, I have both 2004 & 2005 installed and seeing as 2005 was working so well, I decided to uninstall 2004.
