Jim DXBase2004.ini is found in the Windows subdirectory. Normally C:\Windows\Dxbase.ini
This is consistent with the normal convention of most programs now a days. Writelog has for example C:\Windows\Writelog.ini Hamscope has C:\Windows\Hamscope.ini Configuration files for various features of a programs such as rotors, rigs, etc are normally stored in the programs subdirectory. That is why I have a separate bat file command to backup the DXBase.ini from it's location and a separate command to backup all the configuration files (*.ini) that are in the DXBase subdirectory. I did not accept the default installation of DXB but chose to install into C:\DXB Simply because I was too lazy to have to type or cut/paste that long directory location into the bat file I made for backing up. Too much of my making a typo and missing some important files when I wrote the batch file. (I still made mistakes but they were easier to spot/correct. <wink>) ----- Original Message ----- From: "WA9YSD" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "DXbse Forum" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2004 6:17 AM Subject: [Dxbase] Re: Problems with your DXbase2003 > The only files I find in DXbase that is call *.ini are Defrotor.ini > Radios.ini Rotors.ini and Rptdesc.ini files. > > I am using Dxbase 2005. > > Jim > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "WA9YSD" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 11:43 AM > Subject: Re: Problems with your DXbase2003 > > >> Is there a file called Dxbase2003.ini File?
