This one is a tough nut.
I've run into something similar when transcribing old logs for the stations I
manage.
I made a custom log file.
You can do this by Selecting Field Order from the Dxbase Group.
It takes a bit of prefiguring as it's not editable.
You have to make it and then make a new one if your not satisfied.

But I made a W9OL MANAGER.CO field order file
With just the basic info fields, in the order I want for fast entry.
then I set the defaults for date, band/mode in the User Options.
this will take care of half of the work and cut down on tabbing/cursoring.

Subject: [Dxbase] New LoTW related reports from Joe wa6axe
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

To all,

Bill, W9OL, wanted to see some of his LoTW related stats. And,
there wasn't currently any report that would give him what he
desired.. So, I have made two separate LoTW related reports ..

(1) LoTW Monthly stats (uploads/replies) - by "Calendar Year" - you
choose the year..

(2) LoTW Monthly stats (uploads/replies) - the current month and the
previous 11 months .. automatic - since the report looks at
the computer's clock for the current month/year.

If anyone is heavy into LoTW - where you upload and download
regularly during each month -- this report will give you the
"by month" stats - with the totals for the 12 months also
given.

Since this might not be wanted by many users, if you do want
the two reports - pse send me an email and I will send both
reports to you via email attachment.
