First off, DXBase is Access ver 7. I use a newer version of Access. Then, you have to open Access, select the .mdb file, choose Tools, select Compact. Gracemere is open and 'Process'
And, Gracemere will do ALL of your .mdb files in succession with one Process where as Access would make me select each one. (I guess I could write an Access Macro to compact them all in succession.) But Gracemere already does it, and I didn't feel like reinventing the wheel. IMPORTANT NOTE: Being the anal person I am, I always save the .mdb file to a safe location prior to compacting or any other procedure.
