Downloaded the ProIII pdf....unfortunately they have not corrected the
problem which is the lack of any ability to sense the current state of
the radios split and dualwatch status.

I have contacted several management people at ICOM, by e-mail and in
person for the last 3 years explaining that they are the only one of the
major radio manufactuers that does not allow the status of dual watch
and split to be sensed via the serial port. Without this capability
it's impossible for a logging program to do a complete job of putting
the correct frequencies in the log and to generate dx spots. Kenwood
and Yaesu both have this essential capability.

I have just about lost all hope for ICOM!

I would have bought the Pro III, but now I have given up on them and
will look elsewhere!

Subject: [Dxbase] K1EL's WinKey
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I can't get the speed pot of my new K1EL WinKey to work with DXbase. I have
it connected with three wires and have the POTRANGE set to 255. I can vary
the speed from DXbase but not using the pot. I have tried setting the
speed in the DXbase CW parameter screen to 0, thinking that might enable the
pot but no luck. I'll check my wiring.

I'm using it with a PROII. Any other parameter tips will be appreciated.
