Bob W4OWY and Art W2NRA has been a big help to me and are very intlegent
people, who knows this program well. They are the nicest people that I have
met in a long time. They can explain it so I can under stand it. Many Thanks
BOB and Art!
I may not be very computer savy, but at least I am giving DXbase a shot and
likeing it more and more. We all have to start some where!

Subject: [Dxbase] Reports for DXbase2005 and not for 2004 -- some words from
Joe WA6AXE
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To all,
I wanted to share with all of the DXbase Reflector hams why
I only make reports and things for DXbase2005 - and not for
any other previous version of DXbase.
At the age of 60, I am fully retired, after two full careers.
And, my time each day is well spent in the following ways:
(1) The honey-does!! Hi!!
(2) Maintaining my US Navy website. The website takes approx
8 hours of my time each day to maintain. The website is
located at:
http://www.anzwers.org/free/navyscpo/
(3) Working on any current or future DXbase2005 reports, labels,
QSL cards, etc. The amount of time spent with DXbase2005
can range from a few hours to an "all-nighter"!
(4) Watching TV programs with the XYL. My XYL is "very tolerant"
of my obessions - thank goodness for that!!! :-))
There is just no time each day to dedicate - in making any reports,
etc for any previous DXbase program. DXbase2005 is VERY different
from our previous versions - and therefore, the 2005 Standard reports
are not usable for 2004 and previous versions.
ALL of the "Standard Reports" are made and programmed using the program
called "Crystal Reports" (Note: you must use either version 7 of the
Crystal Reports - or you must be able to save the report file "as a
version 7" .. This is "critical" .. because Jack is using Version 7
in our DXbase program).
I hope that the above info can give you an appreciation for why I
only make DXbase2005 type of files.
Good morning to all and vry best of 73/dx,
Joe WA6AXE
