Way back when I connected my rig to my computer, I was pretty sure that it was a straight through cable. And watch the stop bit issue. I 'think' both Yaesu and Kenwood require 2 (two) stop bits.
Check your manual. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Main" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "DXBase" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, February 11, 2005 9:57 PM Subject: [Dxbase] COM Port Wiring I have a Yaesu Mark V and a Kenwood TS-870 as my backup. I want to wire the Kenwood to another COM port on the computer so I can control it through DXBase. It appears that pins 2, 3 and 5 are the only ones needed. What I need to know is are pins 2 and 3 straight wired or are they swaped?
