I should have mention that the operating frequency was 6 meters and
I had QSOs at different intervals, ie, 50.130, 50.150, 50.175 etc.
Last night I open the DX Lab programs which is used with two monitors.
I then open DX Atlas in monitor two. Entered a few contacts, 6M, using
WinWarbler which is on monitor one. All QSOs were put into DXKeeper,
which is on monitor two, with the correct frequency.
=================================

Ran into a strange problem last night (last Thursday now). I had
monitor
1 set to DXBase 2005 and Monitor 2 to DX Atlas 2.25. After I had logged
serval QSOs, I happen to look at the frequency that was logged. All QSOs
were 363416.56 and the band was 75. I closed DX Atlas and the frequencies
would be logged OK. Open DX Atlas back up and got the same problem.
Anyone have this happen to them and if so, what's the cure. Using 2.4 MHz
and XP pro. Rig is an IC-756 pro.

Ron et.al.,

Lot of discussion here yesterday about DXCC submission forms.. hihi.... We
have ran exhaustive tests on this last night and this am. In no case were
we able to find that DXbase did not select the necessary and correct QSOs.
I think there is confusion about what the valid award categories mean with
respect to the ARRL DXCC Award rules.

The mode awards, these are the Phone, RTTY, and CW awards mean that ANY QSO
regardless of what band is involved is eligible ( for simplicity ignore the
date of the QSO ).

The band awards, these are the individual band categories, mean that ANY QSO
on that band is eligible, regardless of the mode.

When a QSO is submitted to ARRL, ALL award categories for which that QSO
might apply are taken into account. So, one QSO could be used for more than
one category such as a 20m CW QSO would apply toward the CW award and also
the 20M award.

Based on the collective comments, what some folks seem to think is that
there is an award for each band AND mode when in fact there is not. Because
of this erroneous thinking, there is a perception that some QSOs should be
selected when in fact, they are not eligible.

Take for example the following log:
8P6IM CW 10m
8P9HT CW 12m
8P0A USB 15m
8P2K RTTY 15
8P6JG CW 20m
8P9HT CW 30m
8P9GQ CW 40m
8P9FD CW 80m
8P6JB USB 20m
8P6KY LSB 80m

Now let's say we run a DXCC award and we select all the categories and
bands. Some folks would believe that every one of these QSOs should appear
on the award form. That would be incorrect. The last two QSOs do NOT
qualify because the category of award has already been covered by one of the
previously selected QSOs.

8P6JB does not qualify because 8P has already been covered for phone by 8P0A
and 20m has already been covered by 8P6JG. Similarly, 8P6KY does NOT
qualify because 8P has already been covered by 8P0A for phone and 8P6FD for
80m.

It would be impossible for us to investigate each individual's database in
order to find the explanation for why something isn't on the form. As some
have already stated, the DXCC award criteria is very complex. Depending on
the person's log, it could take hours to sort through all this. But, for
anyone who thinks something is missing, all you have to do is list every QSO
for that country and apply the same thinking as we have just explained. I
feel confident you will eventually find that some other QSO has already met
the criteria that caused you to think that a particular QSO was missing.

Hope this helps,
Jack
