Well, did you reboot the computer? Not just the program but the whole
computer? Sometimes thats what makes it go away.

Sounds like a little corruption in the program and not the log. Try
reloading the program and not your backup log data first. That way if it
works you will not lose any resent log data.

Try putting some of those MFJ torroid chokes at the computer on the mouse
and Key board cables, also put you modem or DSL modem close to the radio
shacks computer in the radio shack. This will minimize RF getting inot
things that I should not be into.

Subject: [Dxbase] Address label formating problems...
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hey folks,

I would be interested in knowing if others have this issue and how you
deal with it...

When I print address labels, sometimes I get formatting problems where
the city, state and zip don't fit on the label... after looking closer, it
seems
that sometimes the "street address" and the "city, state, zip" lines get
crammed together on one line instead of two seperate lines... (both are
stored in the "ADR3" field of the pending labels database)

This seems to happen mostly when the first line of the address is a club
station name...

After closer examination of the pending labels database I can see this...

What usually happens is the ADR1, ADR2, and ADR3 fields get stuffed like
this...

ADR1: George A. Perkins /* Name */
ADR2: 17706 Currie Ford Drive /* Street Address */
ADR3: Lutz, FL 33558 /* City, ST ZIP */
ADR4: USA /* Country */

But if the address is a club station, something like this usually happens...
I will use "WK4R" for an example...

ADR1: West Pasco Contest Club /* Club Name */
ADR2: Wilbert E. Kollenbaum /* Name */
ADR3: 2930 Meadowood Drive, New Port Richey, FL 34655 /* Combined Steet,
City, ST, ZIP */
ADR4: USA /* Country */

Invariably, when the address (I am using the RAC callbook CD) from the CD
populates the database, primarily when the ADR1 field contains a club name
or something similar, the street address and the city, st, zip get
concatenated
together... and hence, the text will not fit on a label...

I would like to see the "USA" field go away and the "City, ST ZIP" from
ADR3 roll down to ADR4...

Does anyone else experience this? And if so, how do you handle it or
get around it?

Thanks,
George - Ku3o
