Yup thats the one! Many thanks for finding it. I must have passed over the
darn thing at least 3 times.

I ran it and came up clean so I cannot tell you what it came up with before. I
thought it was the same Date/time and mode.

Now for the ones that were not LOTW is an interesting thought. Like
confimation contacts for that rare DX or the time you called a station put it
in the log and 3 minutes after words decide that you did not think you got it
so you worked him again, then get yelled at by the DX station that your a DUPE!
No I never done that! Second thought, I am guilty :-(

Again thanks!

Subject: [Dxbase] DXCC module still has a problem
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi guys,

I think we still have problems with the DXCC module in DX Base 2006 (versus
2005).

With v. 2005 open, I took our club's log and ran a DXCC report on it since
we're getting ready to make a first-time submission. We ticked MIXED and
15M only, ran "COMPUTE" and it gave us a submission with the following
totals: 196 records, 191 Mixed entities and 109 entities on 15m. I pulled
the cards, collated them and set them aside.

I then installed v. 2006, upgraded to the 1.01 executable and ran the
report again, but got a very different set of totals back. With everything
identically set, both logs (2005 and 2006) having been compacted and tables
initialised, the totals in 2006 were as follows: 179 total entries total,
179 entities mixed and only 96 on 15m.

This reminds me of the issue that was discovered about a year ago. A little
more investigation reveals that once again, Mode hits are trumping band hits.

To illustrate what I'm describing, consider this:
I have Estonia confirmed on 10M CW and 15M SSB. If I tick the MIXED box and
the 15M box (as I did), both Estonian records should come up in the
submission. Now only the first one (10M) comes up and the 15M record is
ignored.

In DXCC, band has to trump mode in the selection criteria. If I have, let's
say, England on 40 RTTY and 80 SSB and 30 CW, I should get 6 hits in total
if all bands and modes are selected (one for each band -- 30, 40 and 80 and
one for each mode; RTTY, CW and SSB).

If I had worked England on the same bands but only on CW, I should get a
total of 4 hits -- 30, 40 & 80 + CW.

I read both .MDB files in access and printed out the DXCC reports from
both, and saved them as an EXCEL file. I also zipped up and saved the 2005
and 2006 databases. Jack, if you'd like me to send them please let me know
and I'll get them off right away.

Also, I wondered why in the 2006 version, I have a few entities that show
as confirmed (Alaska comes to mind), a QSLR date is present but the entity
shows up only as W in the summary and isn't on the DXCC hit list at all in
any band or mode. I haven't investigated these but I know there's more than
one hit like this.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this complicates things.
