What is the check boxes under Spare in the Set HF Transceiver used for? 73 - Eric. From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 31 21:53:15 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Eric - VE3GSI) Date: Wed Aug 31 21:58:13 2005 Subject: [Dxbase] Marine Mobile Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Hi Gang, I just noticed in my log, information from a marine mobile operating from the Netherlands, with a home country of Germany but showing up in DXBase summary window as being in Scotland. The Op had sent the call as PA/DH2ID/MM. How do I 'fix' the information in the Summary window to reflect the correct QTH - or should I even worry about it? 73, Eric - VE3GSI From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 31 22:14:48 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (FireBrick) Date: Wed Aug 31 22:20:03 2005 Subject: [Dxbase] Marine Mobile References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> This is becoming a common problem Eric. I saw one the other day (example)PA3/DJ1XXX/LH102 DXB decoded it as Norway. There is no way for ANY software to figure out which is the prefix and what is added comments. lol So what I do (a lot) is enter the call withOUT the special stuff like Maritime Mobile 2 etc. And save the qso. That will normally decode it to the correct entity. Then I go back and add the part of the call I left off. It's the only way I found... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric - VE3GSI" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2005 8:53 PM Subject: [Dxbase] Marine Mobile > Hi Gang, > > I just noticed in my log, information from a marine mobile operating from > the Netherlands, with a home country of Germany but showing up in DXBase > summary window as being in Scotland.
