Thanks Tony,

I had already changed the pacing and eoc to lower values, I have now
changed them to your suggested values and it may be a little quicker
now, but there is STILL a BIG BIG difference in speed between
pressing Alt R and QSY'ing by clicking on a DX Spot.

I also have a TS2000 and that does not exhibit the same problem, even
without changing the Radios.ini there is not any noticeable difference
between the 2 QSY'ing methods. With the TS950 the difference is very
noticeable!.

I realise that it will never be as quick as the TS2000 due to the
relatively low bps rate of the TS950 (4800bps) but it has me beat why
is SO FAST when pressing Alt R, its almost instant!.

Subject: [Dxbase] Showing State
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Bill,

I tried what you suggested (changing HF-Country to HF-US State) and after a
while I realized that wasn't what I had been seeing. That setting only
appeared to show on US States and nothing else, including the window next to
the binoculars stayed blank. What I had before was all the other countries
showed including the prefix in that window. The only difference was I think
it had something like "United States - Texas", which I thought was cool.
I'm not seeing that here. I do have RAC installed and have it working with
DXBase and figured that these two were tied together to give me that
information.

Guess I will keep looking. It is probably something in User Options that it
will take weeks to find. By then my motherboard will be back from being
repaired and it just won't matter..unless it doesn't work that way now on
the tower since I reinstall DXB. I don't know how it works now because the
COM port problem was my major concern.
