If you get disconnected from an internet cluster in dxbase, simply close the internet cluster window (click the x on the upper right hand corner of the internet window), then across the top of dxbase click on Window and select 'new internet cluster'. You will get reconnected to the same cluster, assuming you have a working internet connection.
If you wish to connect to a different internet cluster, then you will have to make a different selection in tools/options/user options/internet. That is all there is to it. And by the way you may care to connect to my AR-Cluster N5IN at : dxspots.com Ron, N5IN [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > I have the same problem here with DXBase. It's not the loosing the connection, it's the modem still thinks it's connected as it never saw the command to close down. What happens is the telephone connection is disrupted, the modem stops sending/receiving commands but DXBase still thinks it's connected and can't reinitialize the modem to accept another reconnect command. That's why he must restart DXB. I think, if Jim looks at his modem in the MS Telnet program, he may find the 'reinitialize command sequence and use that to recycle the modem. But it's been so long since I did anything with a landline modem I can't remember the commands. ----------------------------------------------------- I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure... ----------------------------------------------------- Bill H. in Chicagoland
