I wonder if it might not be better to mark (in your DXBase 2006 log)
these q's as invalid. See the 'valid' column and remove the checks from
the two options. Then these Q's will remain in your log, but will not
show up in reports (if you have the 'valid DXCC' box checked in the
selection wizard). It's not perfect I suppose, but it works for me.

How can I designate my QSO contacts in DxBase 2006 as being made from permanent
residency in different states if the callsign used was the SAME in every state
(K3SEW with no portable slash ever used)? I was K3sew in Maine, New York and
Pennsylvania. I want to be able to submit my logs to the World Log Book and
give DX stations and others credit for the contact with the state I was located
in.

In addition, is there a way to use DxBase 2006 and the World Log Book for
county hunters to designate the county from which they operated mobile from so
as to give state & county credit to folks who worked you?

I lived in several states over the years and operated as K3SEW

I am a basic user of dxbase and am not comfortable downloading the various
fixes, upgrades and changes that seem to be coming at a regular rate.

Can I assume that these changes will be implemented in newer versions? How
often is the software updated?
For example, would the recent download for the final version of the DXCC Mixed
report and the DXCC Band report be in the 2006 upgrade if I ordered it? Is
there a list of upgrades from 2005 to 2006?

Jim,

This is Joe WA6AXE (just a user of DXbase). I am the person who
has made and is making the various reports that you are talking
about in your email. I make then only for DXbase2006 - BUT, Jim,
the DXbase2006 that you would download (when you buy it) will
not have the new files that I have made (since the release of
DXbase2006 back in May of 2005). Those files you would simply
download separately and save to your folders in DXbase2006.

The current 2006 download would include files that I had made
and submitted to Jack - BEFORE the 2006 release in May 2005.

The updates that Jack himself has made and posted to his
dxbase.com website for the DXbase 2006 program (exe file)
will also not be in the 2006 download -- you would download them
separately and install them.

There are many users who can help you once you order DXbase2006.
If you are not comfortable downloading the "additional" files,
you might be able to ask for help from a user.

Joe WA6AXE

Boy, I used Hyperlog a long time ago...took me a couple of minutes to try and
remember how
I did it.
I don't remember if Hyperlog had a .adi export...that would be the easiest.

But ... If you go to the Program Group, Select Non DXB Import, and select
Hyperlog for the
Source Data Type, you may have success.

Let me know if that works for you...
I do have a program called LogConvert....bought it a long time ago so not sure
if it will
convert Hyperlog to .adi...
