When I attempt to use the wizard for gathering records for an award, I get the message "No records valid for submission were identified." I know there are valid records, but can't pull them up using the tool. What I am not doing correctly? Thanks to each for your ideas and comments. I never thought about an import. The memory stick idea and copying the existing database over to the Laptop are great, also. So the smaller the log, the quicker it will load and save.. If indeed the laptop has smaller hd and slower cpu. I strongly agree that little usb type JumpDrives are great.... I use them as one of my backup devices. Now there can be a case for having your entire log on your portable, because then it will also show you previous qso's with the station you are currently working. I think it depends on your portable goals. If it's a dxpedition, then you want as fast a lookup/save as possible. Previous qso's are not a concern. You don't need a callbook on your laptop. Same with a contest laptop operation. A more casual operation like from your summer/winter home...then a full log would probably be preferable. You can always do it both ways...clean log on the laptops hard drive and a full log on a JumpDrive... good luck..and if by chance you will be going by Scarborough Reef (BS&H), stop for a few minutes and give me my final entity..... ----------------------------------------------------- If you woke up breathing, congratulations!
