Just to put my mind at ease, is anyone using the combo DXbase with a
K1EL-Winkey and a USB/serial adaptor with N9ZLE cable on an Icom 706MKIIG?

Subject: [Dxbase] CW or LSB?
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Last night I got on and worked a few fellows in the 160 contest. I started
at the bottom of the band and all was well. Soon I noticed that the last
three contacts were logged as LSB instead of CW. I went through and fixed
the mode of these contacts and worked another...it logged as LSB!

I remembered that there was a bandmap setup and checked to see. Sure enough
the bandmap is set up for cw up to 1850 and LSB for 1850 up. The stations I
had worked were all above 1850. I fixed this and everything is fine.

I'm curious, why is this set to override the mode from my transceiver
(FT1000MP)? I can't think of any occasion that might occur when I would work
someone on CW and yet have the logging program automatically change the mode
to LSB. If I did not have my radio attached to my computer, I could
understand. Just curious?
