Here's another OT. I was first licensed in 1955 at age 18 & observed 50 years of continuous licensing last June. I still have my logs from that "Save 11 meter" contest in 1957. About 3-4 pages of entries in my ARRL log book. I was using a Viking 2 Tx and NC-183D Rx, as I remember. I think that was one band in the HF spectrum that hams could run a0, I guess was radio-control like for airplanes & boats. There was a Hashafisti Scratchi article in CQ about a ham showing up at a RC meet with a 11 meter mobile rig.
