Bill, When ur pc crashed, the database file got corrupted. Your choice is to copy your .mdb file over from other machine or backup. Or, you can create a new empty database, then use DXB import to import the bad file into a new empty one. Following this you would select the new one at program startup by making sure you have the option to prompt for database name set on.

DXB(2005) on my "Radio" computer asked me to "initialize" the file. Did so a few minutes ago and I am get a message saying --for example-- "KC1XX <K>> was not found in the DXCC Numeric Statistics Table. You should correct this problem by fixing the QSO data or by updating the reference database..." There were a few instances of the QSOs (same prefixes) not showing on the County Numeric Data bases. I would not mind trying the first suggestion but I found that "many many QSOs also are identified". As far as I could tell, it involves all the KA,KB,KC,KD,KE...prefixes. I have virtually the exact same version of DXB and files running on my other computer on the same network. It would be a small matter to simply copy the appropriate files over and replace the corrupted files. I have the Log file as well, not completely backed up but only missing a small number of Qs. My question is, is this a problem with a specific program file or is it a problem with the main log file? In other words, which files should I replace? The only difference between the two installations is the problem is on a Windows 98 SE and my good files are on a Windows XP machine. Thanks, Bill, W5VX ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected]
