Hello, I looked at the Help file and searched a bit in the reflector archives but I am still puzzled by the following behavior for the Cards - LoTW - Both confirmation option under Select Records From: - if "Cards only" is selected, the worksheet report lists Cards plus Both (meaning Card + LoTW) - if "LoTW only" is selected, the worksheet report lists LoTW plus Both (meaning LoTW + Card). To my way of thinking "only" means either all Cards or all LoTW, not Both. What am I missing? 73 / Stokley, W3SB From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri May 19 02:43:19 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Joseph Glockner) Date: Fri May 19 02:47:57 2006 Subject: [Dxbase] DX Atlas IOTA map pins - screenshots - sneak preview Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To all, I have posted 3 screen-captures of the AFRICA IOTAs AF001 thru AF117. A sneak preview of what the screens will look like can be seen at: http://www.navycthistory.com/wa6axe/dxatlasIOTAmapPins.html When I am totally finished with the new IOTA pin generating report, I will again email the reflector. I just would like to reply to your info about the IOTA.lst file size. Yes indeed, as Alex told you ( and also me when I made the same experience ) if the file size of the xx.lst is too big, DX-Atlas is showing wrong infos. The bigger the file-size, the more errors occure. I also was using the file from Gerard, but I did a lot of editing, error-correcting and bring it up-to-date with the latest/newest numbers. So, the only solution at the moment is to make the file smaler, but Alex told me that he is looking/working on that issue. I made seperate .lst-files for the continents, like one file for AF,one for AS and so on. I also have one file called 'AF-AN-AS-EU-SA.lst' which is working ok (exclude OC) and one file called 'AF-AN-AS-NA-OC-SA.lst' which is also working ok (exclude EU). Because normaly you know the IOTA-Nr. or the Island-Name for search, I made another file called 'Islands.lst' (edited and error-corrected the original file from Gerard) which includes all ( well, not all, but many many, hi) Islands sorted alphabetical. But this file is also too big for DX-Atlas...... So, I hope Alex is working on that issue to have only one file with all IOTA's and one file with *all* Islands. I'm still on DXBASE2003, so I don't know if your Pin.lst is working, but it sounds very good for me. Maybe I will go to DXBASE2007 when it is sold, but only if some major things ( for me ) have changed/included. 73 de Robert, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ____________________________________________________________________________ _ Message: 2 Date: Tue, 16 May 2006 16:53:31 -0500 From: Joseph Glockner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Dxbase] DX Atlas - DXbase users who are into IOTA's To: DXBase Reflector <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed IOTA users of DXbase, Has any DXbase user, who also is using DX Atlas, downloaded the IOTA.lst file from the DX Atlas website? The IOTA.lst file I am speaking about was made by "Girard 14SD330" .. Reason I ask this question, is that I downloaded that file (BIG file in size - with 92000+ entries) from the DX Atlas website - only to find out that the file does NOT act correctly. I asked Alex, the author of DX Atlas program, and he replied that the file is just TOO BIG in the number of entries. He said that it was acting strangely because DX Atlas has a limit of 65536 entries per list!!! What I was seeing is that when I put my mouse cursor over an IOTA (such as AF-015 or AF-017) -- the hint text bubble window "did not" show AF-015 or AF031 info .. it was displaying information about OC-266 (for AF-015) and AS-137 (for AF-017). Knowing that that IOTA.lst file was just TOO BIG, I am in the process of amending the entries to a size that the DX Atlas program will accomodate. Has anyone else experienced this same abnormaility in the IOTA.lst file? 73 Joe wa6axe __________________________________________________________________________
