I just migrated from DXBase 2005 to 2006, and have ordered the DXBase 2007 upgrade. I am an Oracle database developer, so of course, I would be the last person on the planet to actually stay up with a DXBase version (hi hi). Anyway, being "Mr. Smartypants", I had decided to migrate from DXB 2005 to 2006 using an ADIF export and import. When I did that (and initialize the tables and stats afterward), I seemed to have the problem I did with that auto-fill summary window.
Part could have been operator / user error on what I had set up in the User Options, and part could have been the way I upgraded my version and then migrated the database. Now everything works (including controlling the Orion II with the Ten Tec Orion565-LCW selection. Thanks to all of you on the reflector - you guys are super sharp and so helpful. I must say that I have tried two other highly regarded electronic logbooks, and nothing comes close to DXBase. The reporting features and the Summary band mode slot auto-fill, plus just the layout of the logbook and the way you enter new QSO's (automatically as much as possible) is superb. I've been using DXBase since at least version 2002. But I am the laziest when it comes to upgrading. . . 73, Rich KY6R
