The info in the Summary Window is not being completely updated. This
problem has occurred in every version of DXBase I have owned (every one
them from 2001 thru 2007) but I can never figure out why it happens.
For the longest time, I blamed it on my computer, but this is box number
three so if it is my system, it follows me from O/S to O/S.
Incidentally, the O/S is WinXP and DXBase 2007. Frequently the Summary
window works just fine, but often only the band/mode--worked/confirmed
area is updated.

I have the program set to update on Internet Window, but the same thing
occurs if it is set to DX Info. Likewise, clicking a spot changes only
the b/m--w/c area.

Although I have HF-Country selected in the Summary drop-down box, and
the callsign window and the small box with the binoculars next to it are
correctly updated with each incoming spot (or a spot I click on) the
SPath, LPath, Distance, Local Time, Sunrise and Sunset details do not
change. Those details remain the same and reflect a stateside QSO I
logged four hours ago. Likewise, USA-INDIANA remains in the lower left
corner of the Summary Window. What's up with that? Anybody else
experience this?

I'm sure it's something obvious, but what am I missing?

Thanks.

I had some strange problems like this after I decided to try to do an end run
around the "normal" process of migrating your database from one version to the
next.

I tried doing the migration using an ADIF export and then import - and then
initialize the stats tables. This simply didn't work very well - sure, the log
data came over, but the initialize table procedure didn't seem to connect all
the links that it does when you do the "normal / documented" migration.

Just a "wacky theory" - I'm an Oracle DBA, so I tried to get fancy and shot
myself in the foot. It humbled me back to reading the manual and following the
instructions verbatim.

I doubt you did something as "creative" as I did - but I figure I would throw
this out - just FYI.

Rich,

Thanks for the idea, but that did not occur here.
I followed the instructions and used the Import
utility when upgrading to a new version.

Subject: [Dxbase] Wrong XMIT PWR posted to logged QSOs
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Running DXB2007 and since upgrading my shack PC to it, my XMIT power posts
to a logged QSO as 100 W instead if 1500 W which I set using TOOLS, USER
OPTIONS, LOG DEFAULTS. The screwy thing is, I have DXB2007 also installed on
my Dell notebook PC, and it works just fine! Any ideas?
Thanks,
John
