Interesting. I really figured I would have someone say "....dummy just do this or that!" and the problem would be solved.
I don't think the scenario you mention below is the same as mine. I had only the one NIL, and I went directly to the log and it was there. I made no corrections in the log. (The process I use is apparently exactly the one you use to do this though.) For me, this happens so infrequently that I can't really remember when it happened last. I always find it because I go back and look for any Q's that don't come up in the log. It is, of course, usually a miscopied call either by the QSLer or me. If it is obvious, I fix it. I, then, go back to the Previous QSO window and it pops right up. (I'm using DXB 2005.) The one that I originally sent the post about was fairly egregious since there were several entries for this station and DXBase didn't pick up on any of them. (I have been looking for an opportunity to use the word "egregious" since my junior year in high school.
