Bob,

First - I didn't see what version of DXbase you are running right now??

So, I will simply generalize my comments -- here are my answers to
your questions:

1 - Correct - the program knows which labels are printed.. If you
KNOW that you have printed ALL of your Group #2 and you want to
answer NO to deleting those Group #2 labels at that time -- you can
easily later on - go to Output/ Empty Labels / and specify Group #2 ..

2 - There of course is a way to view the labels pending database via
Tools / Database Access / Labels / QSO labels TAB ... AND, there is
also a STANDARD REPORT under

Output / Standard Reports / Database Topics / Label Topics /
with the filename of

qsolabel.rpt

That is only the methods you could use to VIEW the contents of the
Labels Pending database -- as far as a strict "crosscheck" report
that would bang together your qso log against your labels pending
database -- nada! That I know of ..

BUT, I can make you one (if you like??) ???

3 - You do not need to look at the label pending database using
ACCESS (though you can) - because you can view the database straight
away within DXbase itself .. or use the report I talked about in #2
above ... I would strongly recommend simply viewing the pending
database from within DXbase...

And - "if" you will tell me whether you want to have me make a QUICK
report for you -- it will be of the Standard Report variety --- that
report "will" show you the QSO's from your logbook (with the qso sent
date) that are equal to the qsos you have in your labels pending
database..

Just let me know your wishes Bob!

Dang - dang - dang!

I had this error and checked - double checked - tripled checked every change
made from your instructions and finally gave up, put the my log data and
DXCC reference data back as it was. Then, just now opened my e-mail to find
you have a 'fix'.

Grrrrrrrr!

Joe, all kidding aside you are a valued lifesaver (or is that data saver?)
and I for one move that Jack gives you a raise. Do I have any seconders?

The only other interesting thing found with my log is that I have worked
YT6A at least 9 times. Seven of the entries show him as a YU prefix and the
last two show him as a YU6 prefix. So my questions are, did Ranko move? Was
my reference data base changed some time in the past or is it time for me to
get new eyeglasses?

----------
Jack, a kind thanks for that explanation of how the refdata works a few
e-mails back. Myself for one did not realize how much information was packed
into that file. There is no doubt with the world being in a dynamic state of
flux these days there will be another change or two down the road someday,
thankfully I am just now finding DXB has the flexibility to keep up with the
changes.

Thanks to all,
Eric - VE3GSI
