I forgot to mention that there are three settings in the FT2000 menu that need to match the serial port and configuration.
027 GEnE CAT BPS - should match your serial port (4800 in my case) 028 GEnE CAT TOT - mine worked with 100 Msec 029 GEnE CAT RTS - I set mine to "on" Good luck Bill, W5VX
