Bill,

The report I was trying to make (and ultimately a
standalone exe program file) - turned out to be
virtually impossible to make - because, after
looking at 7 DXbase users' logbook and lotw
files that they sent to me -- there are just TOO
many variations/oddities that I saw in the files,
to be able to "program" for all of them.

The ONE variation was just impossible to
"program-around" -- so, I saw that it was
going to be virtually impossible for me
to continue with the project.

I will, on a case-by-case basis, help anyone
that truely wants to double-check their
LoTW confirmations (DXbase logbook as compared
to ARRL LoTW sebsite).. But, the report, which
I have here (and strictly using Crystal Reports
itself) at my QTH, is not going to be useful
- since I can not program around all scenarios.

If anyone wants me to check their logbook/lotw
files - just email me ... the steps you will
have to take are relatively easy. I USE the
DXbase user's logbook (adi output of the whole
logbook) -- and -- the user's LoTW account
(the whole thing!) - in the form again of an
ADI file ...

The GLITCH that ARRL-LoTW server has between
June and Nov 2007 "might" showup for you, but,
the only time that that would be a problem is
when you were to submit for DXCC or WAS
and use the LoTW QSLs...

Hope that this helps Bill.

Hi Bill,

Joe is working on a small programme and will list the steps required to
double check your DXB log against the LoTW files. I am sure Joe will anounce
this program when the project is complete. In the meantime you can do this
test to see if you even need to re-send/fix any Q's. First use the Selection
Wizard in DXB to count LoTW ONLY records. Next go to ARRL/LoTW and check to
see what the lastest number of records are shown on the server. With luck
you will be bang-on!

For your information, and others, I actually have over 17250 LoTW QSL
records and of that I only had 15 in error on the LoTW server. So chances of
a major problem with your files should be small.

As a bonus with Joe's testing he found a few type-o's in my DXB Log and will
have a way to test for those as well.
