To all: The answer to the question:
Where do you put the start date for the (FJ)? is as follows: The Start Date itself (in the case of the new FJ DXCC entity - Dec 14, 2007) is NOT placed anywhere in the software.. What happens is : In the Alias Map table, the "Map PFX" of FJ is "mapped" as follows: Map PFX = FJ Pri PFX = FJ Old1 PFX = FS Old1 Date = 12-13-2007 (mm-dd-yyyy) This new MAPPING of the FJ Map PFX is stating that: The FJ Map PFX - was "mapped" to the Primary Prefix of FS thru and including the "final day" of 12-13-2007. Starting the next day (12-14-2007) the FJ Map PFX is then "mapped" to the Primary Prefix of FJ (St. Barts). The DXbase software "Automatically" knows that the START DATE is 12-14-2007 -- because of the entry that I mentioned above - where we STATE the "End Date" for the FJ being tied to the FS Prefix. Hope that this clarifies for anyone that might not have understood the logic used in the Alias Map table. Cheers! Joe wa6axe
