Maybe he is simplifying the LOTW process with DXKeeper and Writelog, but it does seem simpler that what I do with DXbase.

And frankly WL's LOTW export feature does not have the high level of integration with WL that I want... In my case I use DXLAB's DXKeeper...which not only automatically imports the Writelog ADIF Contest File and exports the results directly to LOTW but also does a couple of valuable things that WL does not: 1. It synchronizes the sent data with LOTW to make sure that it has been added to the LOTW database correctly and sets its own records to confirm the QSO was sent. 2. It queries LOTW to check for any confirmations that have been received from others and updates its records on my computer The benefit of using DXKeeper rather than Writelog is that with a single click of a button my Master Log Database is always up to date with the latest LOTW confirmations which really makes record keeping almost automatic. __________________________________________________________ Howard S. By doing so all my Q's, including contest Q's in DXBase are correctly marked and dated as having been sent to LoTW. If I instead used WL's capability to do this directly, I would, after importing to DXBase, still have to run a dummy LoTW export run in DXBase to mark the Q's correctly. I suppose of you never imported your contest Q's into your everyday log this would not be an issue. I thought it was a pretty convenient feature that WriteLog directly exports logs suitable for uploading or emailing to LOTW. But I have never heard of anyone actually using this feature. Does anyone use it? Thanks, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to radio contesters everywhere. Wayne, W5XD
