Mike, Tnx for the info. I've never used telnet from IE6 or IE7 so didn't realize this feature was even there. I usually use VE7CC's CC User software for my telnet connections. At the web site you provided it also mentioned that telnet was missing from Vista as well. I applied both patches just in case I want to use telnet in the future. Thanks for saving me some heart burn when I would have found it didn't work!
