Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase Startup question
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I'm sure this has been covered numerous times, but I must be looking in the
wrong place of the manual to try to find out how to do it. When I startup
DXBase (I'm using DXBase 2005, hope to upgrade if a new 2008(?) version is
offered at Dayton this year), it always brings up all of the windows that I
never use, such as VHF Packet, Internet, etc., and I always have to "X" them
out to get to the logging page, which is all I ever really use.

How do you save the setup before shutting down, so next time you get DXBase to
startup with just the "log data" page and any other ones that I hope to use,
without all the rest of the pages that I don't care about?

Thanks and 73,
Larry

Subject: [Dxbase] Adding info to the database
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi all,

I'm trying to add a lot of data to the database directly and not sure
how to go about doing it.

I do a lot of DX contests and import all my contest logs via ADIF.
While the data comes across without a problem, what doesn't get
imported is the power setting. Since I like to keep that info
mostly-accurate, and since I always run QRO for contests, how can I
add the value 1500 to the QSO-POWER field for all my contest QSOs
after a certain date (i.e. the date I bought the amp)? This is
several thousand Q's, so frankly I do NOT want to past each record
individually.

Thoughts?
