Boy, it sure is tough when you don't know what you are doing. I come to find
out I can send FSK or AFSK without using a separate keying line. But I
needed to add a one transistor switch from the DB9 on the PC to the FSK
input on the K3. Without this switch I can only send AFSK.

I tried MMTTY with MD. I got the following:
- Can't receive FSK
- Interfaces fine with DXBase

I tried Hamscope. I got the following:
- Can't send FSK
- Receives FSK fine
- Interfaces fine with DXbase.

I tried HRD/DM780:
- Receives FSK fine
- Sends FSK fine.
- Doesn't interface with Dxbase.

Tony, tnx for the suggestion too upgrade. I upgraded HRD as you suggest with
the latest beta build. Now it interfaces fine with Dxbase. But now I can't
send FSK. It keys the rig but it is just a steady tone. Guess something
changed with the upgrade. Trying to figure out what changed.

One other question with HRD/DM780, how do I set it up so I have radio
control from Dxbase? Do I need to have radio control from HRD/DM780 to make
things function? In Dxbase I would like to be able to click on a call in the
DX INFO window so the rig changes to that frequency, like it did before. Not
sure if I can get all of this?

Pse keep educating me.

Tony,

If you are using the latest version of DM780 (1,1 beta build 1807) it
integrates just fine with DXBase. You will need to got to Tools/Logbook
Options and click on the "QSO Forwarding" Tab.
There you will find a couple of check boxes to cause the log entries to be
sent to DXBase and To give focus to DXBase so you can hit "Enter" to save
the log entry.
