I have DXBase2003 and the FT-1000MPMkV and used to have the frequency populated
OK.

Due to a lightning strike I have a new HP DC7700 computer and cannot get the
frequency field to populate.

I have read Gary's ( AL9A) reply to KK7X. I have tried all 16 COM port
options but only get "HF Radio failed to respond". I thought that entering my
rig, FT-1000MP automatically selected the right settings for Parity, Baud rate
etc.? I anyone can suggest some tests for the correct COM port or whether the
data is being exported from the Tcvr., I would be most grateful. If/when I have
got the freqcy. population matter sorted out, then I can see about clearing all
the unwanted windows at start up!

Subject: [Dxbase] HELP REQUEST
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

When I started DXBase this afternoon the QSO log window does not show any
entries.

The window is on the screen with QSO Log for K0DEQ.mdb at the top but there are
no entries shown. At the left side of the window there is a column of
rectangular boxes with nothing in any of the boxes. The remainder of the
window is blank.

AT the bottom in its usual location is:: Record 76242 - and when I initialize
the tables the screen reports reading 76240 QSOs so I assume all of the QSOs
are in there somewhere.

I have restarted Dxbase several times and initialized tables several times with
no change in the QSO log window.

Any suggestions please?

Thank you

Bill, K0DEQ
