I found the problem, which was after entering a call I hit tab and it would take 4 sec for the line to fill in.I compacted the file from 28.8mb to 19.6 mb with no measurable affect. I saw the thread saying that dxbase would not work with the rig serial interface set at automatic. I was. I change the rig to 4800bd to agree with the setting in dxbase. The line fill time is now less than a second. I am using an Icom 756 pro 2. Art w1rzf
