To all: While I was making my AutoLoTW program and the LoTWChecker program, I recalled that some months ago, the LOTW website/server had a "glitch" - in that if the DX Station "re-uploaded" their entire logbook again - "sometimes" the confirmation that you already HAD - was accidentally deleted.
I have just received an answer, to my email to the LoTW Desk, from the ARRL LoTW Specialist - with GOOD NEWS!! - Here was my question to her: //quote// Some months ago, if the DX Station "resubmitted" their logbook, "sometimes" the LoTW system would "inadvertently" delete the "confirmation" of some of the QSO(s) .. Is this still the case? Or has the glitch/problem been resolved by the LoTW system recognizing that the QSO is a DUPE and therefore doesn't over-write the entry? //unquote/ And here is her answer: //quote// The glitch has been fixed. If you have some QSLs that went wayward, you may upload the EXACT log again to lock in the QSLs. If the file is exactly the same, it will override the existing QSOs. If it is a different file, it will show up as a duplicate BUT will lock in as a QSL. 73, Kathy Allison KA1RWY LoTW Specialist //unquote// This is truely great news - in that if you have any confirmations that dropped-out of the LoTW website account, you CAN get them back -- and, the best part -- the problem should NEVER happen again!! Passing the above along as FYI to all!
