I've tried many different nodes to connect, mainly in US since we suppose to have a direct and widest link to there, but the situation was pretty similar to described: I was disconnected frequently. With geographically close to me nodes in Europe the situation was even worse. Since I connected through SM4ONW the disconnections still happen, but once in couple of WEEKS in a worst case. Can't complain on this! 73! ILYA 4Z1UF

VE7CC will automatically reconnect when it gets disconnected. So VE7CC will connect to your favorite Packetcluster and then DXBase connects to VE7CC. Be sure to put in your hosts file 127.0.0.1:7300 to connect to VE7CC locally. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Crownhaven Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2008 5:48 PM To: DXBase Reflector Subject: [Dxbase] Internet Cluster Question I have recently started connecting to the DX Cluster via the Internet. I am finding that about every four to six hours, sometimes more, sometimes less, I seem to drop off my node. I get a solid string of Keep Alive Feature Is Active but no spots. If I close the window and open it again, I am connected and the spots start coming. I switched to the Internet due to unreliable RF packet connections. This isn't much better. What am I doing wrong if anything????? Or is this just the way it is??????
