I just noticed a problem after importing my CQWW CW log into DxBase 2007. While scrolling through my log when the cursor was put in the callsign block that contained the call OH4A the DxBase program locked up. I immediately assumed I had a corrupted database. I had that happen once or twice before (not sure exactly what the cause was in the past). This time when I went thru the help file procedure for setting up a new database and importing my old log the problem remained. In the past when I had followed that procedure it always resolved the problem so I set out to do some troubleshooting. Here's what I discovered.

There were 7 different QSO's, from several contests going back several years, in my log with OH4A and clicking the mouse cursor into the callsign block on any of them in the log window made DxBase lock up. Also using the Previous QSO window to look up OH4A also locked it up.

I then deleted all of the OH4A QSO's from my log and repeated the procedure for the corrupted database. Fine so far but when I went to re-enter the OH4A QSO's it locked up once again.

Totally frustrated, I next made a copy of the Virgin Database and opened the copy directly with DxBase. When I tried enter a QSO for OH4A it locked up too.

I'm concluding that the copy of the Virgin Database on my computer is corrupt.

Has anyone else seen a similar problem or have any ideas of how to fix this?
