Alan,
Backup THAT mdb file .. then go to the HELP files
and look under the title of Corrupted Database ..
Do the actions detailed in that help file .. it is very good
info!!!
From what you say - it kinda sounds like you might have
OVER-written your own VE1AL.mdb file accidentally
with something else -- or -- you might have saved your
mdb file while you were using ACCESS2000, etc ...
The big thing here is, backup THAT file -- and then
follow the guidelines in the Corrupted Database ...
IF THAT action doesn't help - in that you can not
even open up your mdb file within the DXB Import
Utility -- then it sure sounds like you over-wrote the
file with something other than DXbase ...
Give it a try and let us know how it turns out ...
FYI - if you want to ZIP-up and email THAT file
VE1AL.mdb -- I will look at it here ..

I decided only a half hour before the contest began to get into the CQWW
last weekend. Not being familiar with N1MM, I logged the test in DXbase.
Tonight I thought I'd make an ADIF file and import it to N1MM.
I set up N1MM for an import, went to DXbase to create the ADIF and
something went wrong. I got an error message saying I can not open
VE1AL.mdb. And now, I cannot open my file.
Stupidly, I did not make a backup of the file because I have never had a
problem before.
An attempt to repair the file with the DXB Utility was unsuccessful.
Have I lost my database? If not, how can I restore it?
Would appreciate any advice from the gurus.
