Joe,

Thanks for tickling my memory bank.  I've been meaning to suggest an enhancement to DXB for some time now, but keep forgetting to write it up.

I would like to see an improvement in the Tools/Options/Special Events... display logic.  Currently when starting DXB a window pops up and shows the 'Special Events' in the data base for the current month.  The problem with this is that I am presently entering contest events for 2009 into the Special Events data base.  When DXB starts it shows events for December 2008 AND December 2009.  At the moment I'm not too concerned with December 2009 events!  Also, when listing the special events for a given month DXB lists them in random order, even those events that have dates that are now history.  So, my enhancement request would be:

Improve the sorting logic for the Special Events data base so that events are only listed for the current month AND current year.  Within that sort show the events in ascending date order and only show those dates that are equal to or greater than the current date.  If an event date is less than the current date do not display it as the event has already been passed.

Best wishes for an enjoyable holiday season.  Since we are spending it in Hawaii this year, Mele Kaleekmaka!

To all:

Now that we are coming to the end of 2008, does anyone
have an unresolved DXbase problem that I might be able
to assist you with (one-on-one)?

Sometimes we see emails to the reflector with an issue,
but - sometimes, we never see that it was resolved.

If I can be of assistance to anyone running DXbase,
pse just reply to this email with the unresolved issue.

I personally want to wish ALL of the DXbase users
and Very Merry Christmas and hope that the New Year
brings us all much JOY!
