Hi Joe, I was just to look up our original emails and carry on from there and suddenly this one pops up on the screen! So if you don't mind I will use it instead. Between a contest on and shovelling snow I have been busy and this is the first chance I have had to check your modifications.
My preliminary results with my tests are not that positive. Yes, the program is able to find my USB card in the fourth position, but I have to turn the volume up to the top limit in order to copy anything. I cannot compare this to Windows sound card one as my hardware setup does not allow me to easily swap cables. With sound card two (SB PCI) I have set the Windows control to the max and still not very good copy. Just a quick reminder the USB sound card used with the microHAM products do not have any Windows adjustments, the level is set by knobs on the front of the microKEYER. With PSK using MMVARI I can get away with just cracking the volume know and get %100 copy, not so with DxbPSK. Second, during the testing I received an error - which I could not duplicate. I think it was a mfc45???.dll error but 'm not positive about that. The error happened while I was checking the set-up boxes in DxbPSK. For your records, WinXP Pro on a P4 2.0 GHz and 1 Gig of ram and dual monitors. 73 from a very snowy Ontario Canada, Eric. > -----Original Message----- > From: Joe Glockner> > > To all: > > If any DXbase user has more than ONE "soundcard" > on their system, and you are willing to help me > out - I could sure use the assistance. > > I have upgraded the DxbPSK program and NEED > someone who has "more than just one soundcard" > to check the program out. > > My own computer (Compaq presario 6000 running > XP (SP3)) only has one soundcard .. so, I can > not SEE if the OPTIONS setup window (for the > Soundcard(s)) is working correctly. > > If anyone will help me right now - pse just > reply to this email. > > > You do not have to necessarily be running the > PSK31 mode ..
